Cumulative Flow Diagram
Cumulative Flow Diagram
The Cumulative Flow Diagram (CFD) shows how work accumulates across workflow stages over time as a stacked area chart. It is the standard tool for visualizing flow, measuring work-in-progress (WIP) trends, and identifying bottlenecks in Kanban and Scrum workflows.
Use this section to understand how to configure band modes, scope data to specific sprints or releases, and interpret the chart.
