Fields (Custom Fields)
Navigate to Configurations → Fields. The Configurations pillar audits the system metadata layer. Every unused global-context custom field adds overhead to every Jira issue screen and API payload. Configuration clutter degrades Jira search performance and makes administration harder over time.
Custom Field Findings

|---|---|---|
| Unused | High | Zero issues have a value in this field. |
| Duplicate | Medium | Same name and type pattern as another field. |
| Global Context Bloat | Low | Global context but used in fewer than 2 projects. |
| Risky Deletion | High | Unused or stale but still appears on screens - cleanup may break users. |
