Installation & Setup
Prerequisites
Before installing, confirm:
- You are a Jira Cloud site administrator (required to install Marketplace apps)
- Your Jira instance is Jira Cloud - this app does not support Server or Data Center
- You have access to the Atlassian Marketplace from your Jira instance
Installation Steps
- Go to marketplace.atlassian.com and search for "Time Tracking Resource Planning Clovity"
- On the app listing, confirm Hosting → Cloud is supported
- Click Try it free (30-day trial) or Buy now
- Select your Atlassian Cloud site when prompted
- Choose Jira as the product
- Review the permissions the app requires and click Accept to proceed
- The app installs automatically - no restart required
Verify Installation
After installation:
- Click Apps in the Jira top navigation bar
- Look for "Time Tracking, Resource Planning & Project Management" in the dropdown
- Click it - the app opens to the Time Tracking module
First Admin Steps
Once installed, complete these setup tasks before rolling out to your team:

| 4. Set up holiday calendar | App → Settings → Manage Staff → Holiday Calendar | Add company holidays for accurate capacity calculations |
| 5. Assign Member roles | App → Settings → RBAC → User Roles | Give team members access to log time and use the app |
Jira Permissions Required for Installation
The app requests the following permissions during Marketplace install:

| Read Jira issues and projects | Load issues for capacity analysis, backlog scoring, and portfolio views |
| Read and write worklogs | Log, edit, and approve time entries |
| Read users and groups | Display assignees; RBAC role management |
| Read Jira configuration | Detect issue types, statuses, priorities, and custom fields |
Uninstalling
To uninstall: Go to admin.atlassian.com → Apps → Manage Apps → click the app name → Uninstall. All app-stored configurations (reports, templates, portfolios) will be permanently deleted.
