Saved Portfolios
Saved Portfolios are named portfolio configurations that are persisted and shared across your Jira instance.
What Gets Saved
| Saved | Not Saved (always live) |
|---|---|
| Portfolio name | Jira issue data |
| Filter / JQL scope | Current issue statuses |
| Default view type | Worklog or estimate changes |
| Portfolio Settings (date field mappings) | New issues matching scope |
Opening a saved portfolio always loads current Jira data within the saved scope.
Accessing Saved Portfolios
All saved portfolios appear in the Portfolios section of the left sidebar. Click any portfolio name to open it.
Managing Saved Portfolios

- Open the portfolio
- Click the portfolio name in the breadcrumb / header
- Type the new name
- Press Enter or click away to save

- Open the portfolio
- Click the Settings gear icon

Duplicate a Portfolio
There is no one-click duplicate. To copy a portfolio:
- Open the original
- Note the filter/JQL settings
- Create a New Portfolio
- Apply the same filter/JQL
- Save with a new name
Sharing and Collaboration
- All users with access to the Jira project see the same saved portfolios
- The app uses last-save-wins - simultaneous edits by two users can overwrite each other
- Communicate with your team before making structural changes to a shared portfolio
Tips
- Prefix portfolio names with a team or quarter: "Platform - Q3 2025 Roadmap"
- Archive old portfolios by prefixing with "[Archive]" rather than deleting - historical portfolios may be referenced in past reports
