Views, Filters & Sorting

The Backlog Prioritization module provides multiple view types, flexible filtering, multi-column sorting, and saved views to support recurring prioritisation sessions.

View Types

Toggle between views using the view switcher in the top-right of the Backlog Table toolbar.

Filters

Available Filters

Applying Filters

  1. Click Add Filter in the toolbar
  2. Select filter dimension and values
  3. Click Apply - the table reloads with filtered issues
  4. Active filters appear as removable chips in the filter bar
  5. Click × on a chip to remove that filter
  6. Click Clear Filters to reset all filters at once

Sorting

  • Click any column header to sort by that column
  • Click again to reverse sort direction (ascending ↔ descending)
  • Default sort: Score descending (highest priority first)
  • Multi-column sort: hold Shift and click a second column header

Saved Views

Saved Views preserve your current filter + sort + grouping configuration for reuse.

Saving a View

  1. Configure filters, sort, and grouping to your preference
  2. Click Save View in the toolbar
  3. Enter a view name (e.g., "Sprint 12 - Backend Bugs Only")
  4. Click Confirm

Loading a Saved View

  • Saved views appear in the Saved Views section of the sidebar
  • Click a view name to apply all its filters and settings instantly

Managing Saved Views

UpdateApply the view, make changes, click Save View → overwrite

Tips

  • Create a standard view for each team ceremony (sprint planning view, backlog grooming view, bug triage view)
  • Clear all filters before saving a "full backlog" view - ensures the view captures all issues
