Common UI Patterns

Scope / Filter Button

Most views have a Scope or Filter button in the top-right. Click it to open a modal where you select Projects and Date Ranges before loading data. Always set a scope before expecting data to load.

Save / Saved Items

Reports, plans, portfolios, and scoring views can all be saved. Look for a Save button in the top-right of any configurable view. Saved items appear in the sidebar for quick access.

Export Button

Time Tracking reports and Backlog tables have an Export button. Options: CSV (all views) and PDF (Time Tracking reports).

Log Time

Available in all Time Tracking views. Click Log Time to open a quick-log form - search for an issue, enter hours, select date, pick category.

Tips for New Users

  • Check My Permissions first if features seem unavailable - most restrictions are role-based
  • Always set a date range before loading capacity or time reports - the app requires scope to load data
  • Refresh manually to see changes made by other users - the app does not push live updates
  • Narrow your filters for large projects - loading 10,000+ issues takes time
